Sources & method

Built from the complete college swimming dataset.

Every institution was validated against current NCAA membership and explicit men's swimming and diving sponsorship. Public SwimCloud commitment cards were joined for the 2025 and 2026 graduating classes.

Power Index treatment. Lower is stronger. PI values equal to 100 remain as commitments but are blanked and excluded from every aggregate. Missing numeric PI values are also excluded; 68 records are excluded in total. Event 1–3 and Time 1–3 are the first three rows of each swimmer's public Power Index contribution table.
